Ronald E. Pfeiffer Jr., or Ron is the owner of Gulf Breeze Realty. Ron is a Florida Licensed Real Estate Sales Person. Gulf Breeze Realty (GBR) has been in business since 1960. Ron purchased GBR four years ago from James L. Lively, or JL. Ron and JL became friends over twenty years ago when Ron’s son, Trey, and JL’s grand son Ben were on the same T-ball team. Ron was the Head Coach and JL assisted. “I made life long friends while coaching and volunteering for the Gulf Breeze Sports Association “ stated Ron.
The Pfeiffer’s are of German decent and arrived in Pensacola in 1851 on a ship named “The China”.
Johann Pfeiffer was a baker and made the most of the opportunities that America had to offer. He brought extended family to Pensacola over a number of years totaling four brothers, their wives and his mother. They worked hard, saved, and acquired property and businesses. The family grew and spread throughout Pensacola. An exhibit of the Pfeiffer Bakery is in the downtown industrial museum.
“I guess that makes me a fifth generation Pensacola native” Ron proudly stated. “ I know Pensacola and it’s waterways as well as anyone, and better than most” he boasted.
Ron was born in 1959, and graduated from B.T. Washington High School in Pensacola. He there attended and received degrees from the University of Central Florida in 1985 with a B.S in Business Administration and a minor in Finance with a emphasis on Real Estate Investment Analysis. Ron started his career as a credit analyst for a bank and advanced into indirect lending, branch management and mortgage lending. In 1991 he left the corporate world and became a correspondent lender for some of the top lenders in the country. “ The bank I worked for did not offer loans for beach condominiums and I saw an opportunity to specialize in this growth market” Ron stated. He partnered with three other real estate professionals and started Resort Mortgage. The company had branches in Gulf Breeze and Destin. Ron purchased Mortgage Alternatives, Inc. in 2003 and sold his stock in Resort Mortgage. All was great until September of 2007 when one by one the lenders he sold mortgages to went out of business . He closed Mortgage Alternatives August 2008 and went to Texas as a FEMA inspector to help the victims of hurricane Ike.
“ I felt I needed to help given the number of people that helped me after hurricane Ivan” replied Ron.
In late 2009 back in Pensacola he reactivated his real estate license and went to work with a friend who had the REO contract for several banks. The company managed and sold foreclosed bank owned properties. Ron also specialized in short sales hiring local attorneys to negotiate alternatives to foreclosure with the banks. “ I felt helping upside down homeowners was part of my responsibility to the industry and families in financial trouble” Ron said.
Ron is the owner/broker of Gulf Breeze Realty. Together with Larry Tate, Suzanne McCarthy and Trey Pfeiffer, GBR councils clients from around the country on their real estate buying and selling decisions. “ It’s our job to make sure the client ask all the right questions to insure a good buying or selling decision. Our purpose in business and life is simple HELP PEOPLE”
